Biography:
Dr. Lois D. Wiley Anderson holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Secondary Education and a Master of Science in Human Resource Development (MSHRD) from Indiana State University, an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University; and a Ph.D. in Technology Management from Indiana State University. She holds a Certificate of Mediation from Indiana State University. Dr. Lois is currently a faculty member of Capella University in the School of Business and Technology. She consults in support of online higher education, and in the areas of training and development programs for business and industry. She serves as the Sr. Technology Consultant for SilkWeb Consulting & Development (http://www.silkwebconsulting.com).
Dr. Lois is a member of Epsilon Pi Tau and Phi Kappa Phi. At Indiana Wesleyan University, she was recognized as Outstanding Professional. She was a Chester G. Taylor Scholarship recipient. Her professional experiences include Corporate Training Manager for a Manufacturing Subsidiary of Tomkins, PLC. She taught as an adjunct business instructor at several colleges and universities. She served as a Doctoral Academic Operations Chair and mentored numerous doctoral learners to completed doctoral degrees.
Presentations and published works include: Dissertation: Survival Competencies Required of Human Resource Development Generalists Who Are Solo-Performers in Organization in the Next Five Years: A Modified-Delphi Study; Research contributor to the third edition of “Training Manager Competencies: The Standards,” the International Board of Standards for Training, Performance, and Instruction (IBSTPI); Giving Away A Piece of My Soul: Connecting with the Online Learner; Learner Loyalty: Initiating Long-Term Allegiance in an Online Doctoral Program through Successful Student Orientation and Preparation, and Renewable Energy Technology Textbook to be released in 2011.
