Dr. Martha J. Ross-Rodgers grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, but currently resides in Chesapeake, Virginia. Dr. Ross-Rodgers holds several accredited degrees; a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Sociology from Florida Southern College; a Master of Arts (MA) in Education with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix; and a Doctorate of Education (Ed.D/ET) in Educational Leadership with a Specialization in Educational Technology.

Dr. Martha is a motivational speaker and the co-owner of Jireh Publishers and Rodgers, a specialty food Formerly, Boards of Education in Utah, Idaho, and Tennessee have adopted her reading curriculum program. Her flagship book, Awakenings, has been serialized by a major newspaper and had foreign rights sold with distribution to Africa, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Philippines. She is also the author of the book, Woman to Woman, and the co-author of the book, I’M DIFFERENT!!! So What!?! 

Dr. Martha has additionally written for publications such as Sage, Oxford University Press, and M. E. Sharpe. She has also written numerous articles for the newspapers: The Virginian-Pilot and the New Journal and Guide.
