Dr. Ira D. Jones, Jr.


Dr. Ira D. Jones, Jr. resides in Arab, Alabama and holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Public Policy and Public Administration with a concentration in Terrorism, Mediation and Peace from Walden University. He has a Master of Arts in Criminology with a concentration in Law Enforcement Leadership in Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.

Dr. Ira has spent the past 26 years in law enforcement serving in the military, as a local police officer, and as a federal agent. Of those 26 years, 21 were spent as a public safety bomb technician.

Dr. Ira has served as an active-duty U.S. Marine Corps Officer and served in the Marine Reserves. After a long break in service, Dr. Ira joined the Louisiana Army National Guard where he still serves as a Lieutenant Colonel and currently assigned as the Commander of the 415th Military Intelligence Battalion (Interrogation).

Dr. Ira has over 30 years of teaching and training experience and has taught throughout the United States and has both taught and consulted in medium and high threat countries overseas.
