Dr. Ellen Nicole Beattie


Dr. Ellen Nicole Beattie resides in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Ellen holds several accredited degrees; a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics from the College of Wooster; a Master of Organizational Management (MA) from University of Phoenix; a Master of Education – Curriculum and Instruction (MAEd) from University of Phoenix; and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Higher Education Administration (Ph.D.) from University of Phoenix – School of Advanced Studies.

Dr. Ellen holds faculty positions at Ashford University, Community College of Baltimore County, University of Phoenix, and University of the Rockies where she teaches graduate and undergraduate business, management, education, and ethics courses. She has received numerous awards for her commitment to academic excellence within the classroom. She is a peer reviewer for the Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT).

Dr. Ellen has an extensive background in education administration, holding leadership positions in student services and operations. Her doctoral study, A Quantitative Correlation Study: Institutional Characteristics and Endowment Investment Performance Following the 2008-2009 Financial Crisis, provided her the opportunity to align her professional background in higher education with her love of the financial markets. Her research interest in financial literacy encouraged her to develop training materials and workshop curriculum aimed at increasing financial literacy among young women.
