Dr. Amona Washington


Dr. Amona Washington, a native New Yorker holds several accredited degrees; a Bachelor of Science (BS) from the University of Maryland, a Masters of Arts (MA) from Webster University and a Doctorate of Business Administration from Argosy University. Dr. Amona is a 20-year Air Force Senior Non-Commissioned Officer veteran. Dr. Amona has been teaching online and ground courses for 10+ years. Dr. Amona is a certified Trainer.

Dr. Amona is an adjunct professor for Wayland Baptist University and is approved to teach business, management, and human resource courses. Dr. Amona conducts training workshops on “Effective Communication in the Workplace–He Said/She Said”; “Time Management for the Working Mom” and “How Professional Image can Impact Communication”. She enjoys mentoring and teaching students in the online and traditional classroom. Dr. Amona is a human resource specialist for the Federal Aviation Administration. Dr. Amona is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management.

Dr. Amona’s research interests include Organizational Leadership, Emotional Intelligence and Critical Thinking. Additional published works include her dissertation: The Impact of Leadership Styles and Thinking Styles on The Advancement of African American Women in Atlanta, GA.
