Dr. Teresa Sanders


Dr. Teresa Sanders earned a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix in 2007. She has 20 years of experience in mental health / science services and has been an educator for 13 years. Currently, Dr. Teresa teaches in a rural, but expanding district in North Texas. Additionally, Dr. Teresa spent 12 years as an adjunct faculty member for the University of Phoenix.

Dr. Teresa works successfully with the most marginalized and challenging populations by taking a holistic, comprehensive approach to interacting with students and families and welcoming parents as allies in their children’s education. She is an advocate for students and parents in the school environment and believes for students to demonstrate maximum academic achievement, parents must be engaged actively in effective school-home partnerships.

Dr. Teresa has presented at international education conferences, writes weekly education articles for three newspapers and endeavors to develop a comprehensive education program to meet the needs of the most academically at-risk students.
