Dr. Teresa Sanders


Biography:

 Dr. Teresa Sanders earned a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix in 2007. She has 20 years of experience in mental health / social services and has been an educator for 13 years. Currently, Dr. Teresa teaches privately in a small, rural town in East Texas. Additionally, Dr. Teresa spent 12 years as an adjunct faculty member for the University of Phoenix.

Dr. Teresa works successfully with the most marginalized and challenging populations by taking a holistic, comprehensive approach to interacting with students and families and welcoming parents as allies in their children’s education.

She is an education advocate for students and parents and believes for students to demonstrate maximum academic achievement, instruction must align with student’s current academic ability, not necessarily grade level, and parents must be engaged actively in their children’s schooling.

Dr. Teresa is an international best-selling author, has presented at four international education conferences, and writes weekly education columns for four newspapers. Dr. Teresa endeavors to develop a comprehensive education program to ensure students can read, write and complete basic math computations by the end of third grade.
