Dr. Ramon L. Benedetto


Biography:

Dr. Ramon L. (Ray) Benedetto has a varied practitioner and academic background. Dr. Ray holds the following accredited degrees from Penn State (Bachelor of Science, Health Planning and Administration), the University of Southern California (Master of Science in Systems Management), and a Doctorate of Management (DM) in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix School of Advanced Studies.

Dr. Ray, as he is known to his MBA students, teaches leadership and ethics for the University of Phoenix Chicago Campus. A Distinguished Military Graduate of the Air Force ROTC program at Penn State, Dr. Ray served on active duty for nearly 25 years, rising to the rank of Colonel before returning to civilian life. Dr. Ray has been heavily engaged in organizational transformation efforts in the public and private sectors for the past 30 years and leads a consulting firm that specializes in helping leaders in business, government, and community-based organizations build high-performing character-based cultures.

Dr. Ray is board certified in healthcare management and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives where he serves as a mentor. He is also an active member of the Academy of Management where he serves as an academic reviewer and program contributor. He is currently working on a book about character-based business with leaders of several companies.
