Dr. Nicholas D. Sarantopoulos holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from the Athens University of Economics and Business (1984), an MBA in Finance from the University of Illinois at Chicago (1996), a Masters of Science in Marketing Communication from the Illinois Institute of Technology (2001), and a Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A.) degree from the University of Phoenix (2008). He has completed professional education with the Mobil Oil European Training Center, the American Institute of Banking, the New York Institute of Finance, Villanova University (Six Sigma), and Harvard Law School (Program on Negotiation).
His background is a blend of diverse international experiences in the oil industry, banking, investment banking, and international project management. Dr. Sarantopoulos has over 25 years of experience with Mobil Oil in England and Greece, Atlantic Bank in Chicago and New York, Alpha Finance US Corporation in New York, and Community Credit Union on Boston’s North shore. Dr. Sarantopoulos currently serves as President and CEO of the Community Credit Union and as faculty member of the University of Phoenix, Greater Boston Campus.
Additional published works include his doctoral dissertation titled The Relationship between Values and Leadership Styles of Nonprofit Leaders.
Dr. Sarantopoulos is a sought-after lecturer and serves on several college, nonprofit, and business boards. He is a member of several organizations, including the Academy of Management, the American Marketing Association, the Academy of Political Science, and the Foreign Policy Association. He is occasionally available to provide domestic or international consulting services strictly limited to business process development, breakthrough strategies, crisis management, conflict resolution, and complex negotiations.
