Andrew (Andy) Allen


Andrew (Andy) Allen has had a distinguished and heralded career that spans more than 40 years in the aerospace industry.

He has literally ‘spanned the globe’ as a United States Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel to Marine Top Gun fighter pilot to three stints as a Space Shuttle Pilot and Mission Commander before assuming more terrestrial duties.

Following his service with NASA, Andy held senior leadership positions at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, Johnson Space Center, and Headquarters in Washington, DC, where he led organizations exceeding 4,500 personnel.

He is currently serving dual roles as General Manager on the Test and Operations Support  (TOSC) Contract at Kennedy Space Center and Chief Executive Officer for Aerodyne Industries LLC, which is headquartered in Cape Canaveral, FL. As TOSC GM, Andy is leading a team of more than 2,200 supporting NASA in the development of the Space Launch System, world’s most powerful rocket.

In 2017, he was recognized by the National Space Club Florida Committee with the Dr. Kurt Debus Award, Florida’s most prestigious space industry honor. He has received numerous other accolades throughout his illustrious career, including the Distinguished Flying Cross, Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, NASA Outstanding Leadership Medal, and NASA Exceptional Service Medal.
